I can remember a few times in my life when I was REALLY going down. My true friends were there, helping me pick up the pieces of my life. In fact, the mere fact that they were there stopped my fall, or at least slowed it down.
I believe in passing things along. Not just to the people who were there for me, but to all my friends and acquaintances. So, this is an open invitation to all who receive this post to contact me when they feel they are going down. Give me clue in a Facebook or LinkedIn personal message, or by email if you have it.
It takes a long time to learn that we are human becomings. It seems for a long time that life is about results. Success seems to have bullet points for achievement.
Gradually we see that life is primarily about relationships, which are not achievements but ongoing processes. And love is a process too. So, maybe we might be a process of becoming.
Life is about transformation — but not us transforming ourselves. Being transformed by love, and transforming others in our journey.
Where did I get these ideas? Who was my source? My source is you, and through you, God. That is what becoming is all about. Go to https://lifemapping.me and learn about becoming your journey.
When I was a young student in Engineering, I had to learn to let go of trying to figure out how electrons were moving in circuits — and use a higher level model for dealing with how voltage and current worked in different arrangements of resistors, capacitors and inductors. Things were too complex to keep track of the reality of electron flow.
What has this to do with life?
At the deepest level, the reality of consciousness lies in the electrical and chemical flows across countless neurons in our brain. We need, however, to forget that level of reality (unless we are a researcher in this area) and find some higher level model for how consciousness works.
Or, perhaps, to even ignore how consciousness works and find an even higher level model for how human beings use consciousness to learn, decide and behave.
Or, perhaps, to even ignore how human beings learn, decide and behave and find an even higher level model for how to live well.
This is the same problem I faced as an engineering student — deciding to simplify my ideas about circuits, to make my life as an engineer easier.
Do you have a model for living well? Could you write a short paragraph about it? Do you consciously apply it to your life? Or, do you still feel the need to understand yourself more deeply, before learning to live well?
Maybe all our information and knowledge and pursuing what we are is keeping us from focusing on living well.
Clearly see four very important insights into your future life.

It takes me a hour or so to wake up. My brain sends mixed signals to my body — Why not sleep in? You have a lot to do today; get going. But after an hour my body accepts its fate and functions on command.
Then there is a deeper feeling — of being scattered. I have set my life’s path (the yellow one in the picture on this post) but there are competing paths. They all seem to eventually go in the right direction but which one ought I to take?
It’s not a matter of setting priorities. Nor is it about To Do lists. Both of these are helpful. For me it’s a matter of putting the day in God’s hands, and doing what I can to follow his will. There is no certainty in this life other than this.
